What the files from four tools carry into a festival entry

One maker or contest per page, read for the thing a festival actually receives: the file. Each page sets what a maker's own pages state about that file beside the rules the register holds, quoted with the day each was read. No amounts are carried, and nothing is ranked. As of 2026-10-13.

Fig. 1 The same four questions on every page of this column.

This column reads four pages an entrant finds beside the register: Runway, whose own festival briefs a finished file; Sora, whose app closed and whose files did not; Medeo, which assembles a film by chat from models and stock; and Higgsfield, whose contest keeps every generation in one project. Each page reads one maker's own pages for what a delivered file carries, and sets that beside the rules this register keeps.

Every page stands on three sources: whatever the maker publishes itself, dated on the day it was opened; tallies the collection keeps from a single subreddit, printed without names; and the readings this register already holds, which include SceneMixer alongside the rest of the tools.

No entry price is quoted in this column and no festival is put in an order. A reading the organisers never gave is left as not carried rather than filled in, and where two of them measure the same thing by different means — tool count, share of the picture, or where the generations were kept — the page names the difference instead of settling it.

1The pages in this column

  • Higgsfield contest files — a contest that checks the generations rather than a tool list, the maker's own pages, and the two lines its rules draw around the film.
  • Medeo exports — a tool that mixes models and stock, the thresholds five sets of rules use, and the counted question about feature-length work.
  • Runway festival files — the contest one tool runs for its own users, the file its pages describe, and the rules in the register that ask a file to be described rather than shown.
  • Sora-era festivals — what a file carries after the maker closes, the register's rules that ask an entry to be written down, and the counts kept for the family.

The dates come first: this register's readings carry 2026-09-25, and the makers' pages were checked on 2026-10-13. How a rule is read off an organiser's own page is set out on the method page; the tools whose pages this register reads have plates of their own under filmmaking tools.
