1What its pages say

Runway organises the Runway AI Festival, whose rules ask for footage from tools similar to Runway's own models. Gen-4.5 makes clips of 2 to 10 seconds, and a separate app, Stitch Videos, joins clips into a single file of up to 60 minutes. Its terms say Runway does not claim ownership of users' content, which they define to include outputs. Paid plans list no watermarks.

2Why it is on the list

The entry rules of the Runway AI Festival and the African AI Film Festival name it.

AI generated video content should use tools similar to Runway's Gen-4.5, Act-Two, Gen-3 Alpha, Gen-3 Alpha Turbo, Gen-2, or Gen-1.

Six festivals here make entrants warrant they hold every right in the film and five let them keep copyright while granting a licence.

Longest clip in one generation: Up to 10 seconds

Select a duration between 2 and 10 seconds.

Six festivals here want three minutes or more; three minutes alone takes at least eighteen clips at Runway's longest length.

Joining clips into a film: Clips joined into one file

Stitch Videos lets you combine multiple video clips into a single video file.

Running-time rules apply to the finished film, so the clips have to be put together somewhere.

Thirteen of the 25 festivals here ask, or keep the right to ask, about the AI an entrant used; the marks are what the tool leaves in the file either way.
