1The rules in brief
Runway's AI Festival asks for a film of 3 to 15 minutes that includes generative video and tells a fully contained, linear story; its official rules add that the generated footage should come from tools similar to Runway's own models. Entry was free and closed on April 27, 2026. Winners were screened in New York on June 11, Los Angeles on June 18 and Tokyo on July 30. The Grand Prix carries $50,000 in cash plus Runway credits, and entrants warrant that they hold every right needed to let Runway use the film.

3Producing the entry with AI
For an entrant reading “Runway AI Festival”, this is what SceneMixer publishes about the film its pipeline hands over:
Dubbing replaces the audio of a finished clip; the picture was generated for a different line, so mouth shapes, pauses and shot length all belong to the original language. Native-language generation gives the video model the line in the target language before it renders the shot, so the performance, the pacing and the cut points are built for that language.
