Share of AI: how festivals measure it
A share of AI is the part of a film a festival wants made with AI, measured in running time, in content or in the number of tools used. From 3 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.
Bochnia measures content: at least half the picture or sound generated or significantly processed with AI, and at least two different tools. Gen:48 measures time: 75% of the total seconds from Runway's video tools. WAIFF in Cannes counts tools: three generative tools, one for images.
The three yardsticks do not convert into one another. A film can pass a count of tools with a few generated shots, and fail a share of seconds.
Where a rule gives a share, keep a shot list with a note of what made each shot; it is the only way to show the percentage if asked.

2The making side of an entry
For an entrant reading “Share of AI”, this is what SceneMixer publishes about the film its pipeline hands over:
Paste a scene or a short script and SceneMixer gives you a storyboard — numbered shots with framing and seconds — and then a moving version of each segment, which you can join into a rough cut of the scene.

SceneMixer writes dialogue into the script analysis, assigns each line to a shot with a speaker and a short delivery note, and the video model performs it — picture and audio generated together, so the mouth forms that sentence in the language you chose.
