Marks on AI video and festival disclosure rules
Google Flow marks every output with an invisible SynthID watermark. Sora downloads carry a visible moving watermark and C2PA metadata. SceneMixer adds a badge and metadata unless on a paid plan; Higgsfield, LTX Studio and Runway list clean files on paid plans. The Midjourney pages read say nothing on marks. From 8 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.

Inclusion rule. All 7 tools on the filmmaking-tools register. Order. Alphabetical by tool name.
A mark and a disclosure do different work. Thirteen of the 25 festivals here ask, or keep the right to ask, about the AI an entrant used; a watermark or a line of metadata is left by the tool whether or not anyone asks.
An invisible mark is read by software rather than by an audience, so it does nothing at a screening; a visible one does, and a crop can take it out of frame.
Clean files on paid plans are the commonest arrangement on the list, which means one tool can produce marked and unmarked copies of the same film depending on the plan it was made on.
