Grand Prix: the award above every category

A Grand Prix is a festival's top award across all entries, above the category prizes, and at AI film festivals it often carries most of the cash. From 4 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.

Runway's AI Festival pays its Grand Prix $50,000 in cash plus Runway credits; its 48-hour Gen:48 paid $5,000 and credits, with a People's Choice prize of the same size. AI Cinema Festival NYC lists a Grand Prix NYC among its awards without a cash figure, and KCAIF's ladder ends in a Grand Prize.

A Grand Prix and a category win are judged differently: the first against every film, the second against films of the same kind.

Where the rules name only a Grand Prix, the chances of any cash depend on one jury decision.

2Producing the entry with AI

For an entrant reading “Grand Prix”, this is what SceneMixer publishes about the film its pipeline hands over:

Every character, scene and prop card can carry a short list of the other names your script uses for the same thing.

The final cut ends on an end card: your main image plus four lines — Brand, Product name, Tagline, Call to action. The first two are read from your photo and your brief; the tagline and call to action are written with the script.
