Entry rules for AI-made films

Official selection at AI film festivals

An official selection is the set of films a festival chooses to screen or list, below the prize winners and often marked with a laurel the filmmaker may use. From 3 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.

Bochnia's official selection takes up to 30 films, announced on September 5, 2026. KCAIF's laurels run from official selection through semi-finalist and finalist to award winner and Grand Prize. LifeArt says its official selections and winners gain IMDb-qualifying status.

A selection is a result in itself for a first film: it brings a screening and a laurel to print on a poster, even where there is no cash.

Check how the festival lets selected filmmakers use its laurel before printing one.
